Biography
Ethereal Faun was born in the spring of 2007 when Francesco Capomagi, followed by guitarists Lorenzo Marcelloni and Marco Parlapiano decided to give life to a project which mixed folk, progressive and death elements with melodic metal. In the following weeks drummer Alessandro Manoni and vocalist Marta Pierdominici joined the band. After a period of live activity the band decide to enter the studio to record a demo which came to life in April 2008, which includes original tracks and cover songs.
Ethereal Faun's songs contain several folk influences, utilizing fiddles, flutes and acoustic guitars which are mixed with the energy of metal. The female vocals provide the band with a strong melodic foundation, enriching the band's material with the use of typical screams and growls. During the spring of 2009, "The Nightlitany", was released, containing completely original material by the band.
